About the founders

We are two life long best friends who share a love of community and giving back. We have spent many many hours volunteering together in and around our local community. Our love of volunteering, paying it forward, combined with our compassion for the underdog has led us to starting our very own non-profit. We proudly launched The Doggy Wish in August of 2022. We were overwhelmed with the outpouring of love & support from our family, friends and community. Everyone seemed to be as excited as us about The Doggy Wish!

We are empty nesters with time on our hands, supportive husbands, and an enthusiasm to serve the underdogs who need us. We have a clear vision of how we would like to make a difference to the pups out there that need a helping paw.  That's what we're all about.

We both work in the education profession in our hometown, where we were born & raised. Together we have a combined 47 years in the education field. As educators, we have always had a soft spot for the underdog. We have always gravitated to those students who need us most. This is DEFINITELY where our love of the underdog was born.
